Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Ember LMS ("we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on ember.edu and the Ember application.
For how we handle personal information more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session tokens to keep you signed in and remember preferences.
How we use cookies
| Category | Purpose | Can you opt out? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Login sessions, security, load balancing, CSRF protection | No — required for the Service to work |
| Preferences | Theme (light/dark), language, UI settings | Yes — via browser or in-app settings |
| Analytics | Understand feature usage and fix bugs (aggregated) | Yes — disable non-essential cookies in your browser |
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on the Ember platform.
Third-party cookies
Some integrations (e.g. Google Sign-In, video conferencing) may set their own cookies when you use those features. Those providers' policies govern their cookies.
Managing cookies
- Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies
- Sign out — clears session cookies for your account
- Do Not Track — we honor applicable browser signals where legally required
Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in.
Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
